Gingivitis: Bleeding gums can be a sign that you are at risk for, or already have, gum disease. The bacteria and other particles, constantly form a sticky, colorless toxic “plaque” on teeth causing the gums to become inflamed and to easily bleed. This is a serious problem, which should be checked by a dentist. The good news is that this condition is curable. Call your dentist today!

Bleeding gums: If you have mild gingivitis and you start flossing daily, bleeding should be completely gone within a week. if you have more serious gingivitis or periodontitis, oral hygiene alone will not cure your disease. Please see your Dentist for an examination and professional cleaning, especially if it's been more than 6 months since your last cleaning. Let him/her guide your recovery.

Bleeding & Flossing: Proper home dental hygiene which includes brushing and flossing will always help heal inflamed gingiva. If it's been more than six months since your last professional cleaning you may have hardened deposits on your teeth that need to be removed by a hygienist. No amount of home care will resolve your issues if you have calculus present. Prevent periodontitis at all costs.
