Is anyone familiar with the vaccine used for premature infants called synagis (palivizumab)?

Palivizumab: Palivizumab or synagis (palivizumab) is a monoclonal antibody monthly injection which targets the f protein of respiratory syncytial virus (rsv). This expensive injection is only for premature infants less than 34 weeks and 6 days gestational age at birth (or infants with chronic lung disease<24 months). Rsv causes bronchiolitis which is a lung infection. Synagis (palivizumab) has been shown to decrease hospitalizations.
