An antibody for RSV: Synagis (palivizumab) is a medication that is made of antibodies to a virus called rsv. Rsv causes very intense colds, pneumonias, and ear infections, and is especially dangerous for young premature infants. A shot of synagis (palivizumab) gives the recipient instant protection from the worst severity of RSV infection, for young infants and so is used in prematures and infants with lung diseases.
