Sleep & psych: There's no one best medication for treatment of insomnia, nor one best class of med. Talk with your doctor about the right medication for your symptoms. Changes in sleep patterns (sleeping more or less) may represent exacerbation of an underlying psychiatric illness (depression, mania, anxiety ...). Changes in sleep habits shu b reported to ur doc. Adderall, (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) a stimulant, may worsen insomnia.

Sleep: Talk with your prescribing doctor (psychiatrist). I often suggest my patients use Buspar to help reduce their anxiety and combine that with Melatonin. It often works better than the more expensive sedatives/ sleep medications.
