Treat anxiety first.: The use of Buspar (buspirone) and xanax are only useful for short term or for occasional treatment of anxiety. They lose effectiveness after a period of monthe. The ssri meds (like lexapro, zoloft) are more effective for the long run and then maybe good sleep will be more possible. Also the dose of Desyrel can be up to 200 mg for some people.

Xanax Buspar (buspirone) Sleep: you may have more than just depression. Xanax (alprazolam) must never be taken on routinely 3xd as it treats symptoms while leaving mental sickness untreated. See a GOOD DOCTOR who does not use Xanax (alprazolam) to treat anyone except in very exceptional cases and for only a very short time while waiting med that treat the cause of problem have time to work to ease the suffering
