A member asked:

If somebody has a rapid heart rate at rest, almost 90 - 100 - for a very long time, is that dangerous for the heart? how can i decrease that rate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Heart rate: A normal heart rate ranges from 60 to 100 beats a minute. A heart beat that is in the higher range of normal could indicate several things- one of them could be thyroid trouble. Medications can also affect the heart rate. You should review with your doc. Finally deconditioning or lack of exercise can contribute. Hope your health gets better!
