Viral infection: With stuffy noses, mucus, a viral infection (URI) is most likely the cause of fever. such illnesses usually have cough, that can result in vomiting. Treat with generic Tylenol (acetaminophen) and suction mucus with a bulb syringe to clear the upper airway. If fever persists beyond a week or so, he should be checked for the usual complication like an ear infection. Your doctor may also prescribe Liquid Claritin.
