104 temp: If your 2 year old has received all of their meningitis immunizations that should make bacterial blood infection less likely, but baby girls with very high fever sometimes have urinary infections so a urine test would be helpful. If your child does not look better after giving fever reducer then a blood test might also be necessary. When did your dr. Check your child?

Infection: Your child has viral or bacterial infection and probably dehydrated. It is an emergency. Infection can be anywhere, including kidneys, brain, lungs, etc. Go to er or contact your physician now.
