A 22-year-old male asked:
I've been having weakness in lower legs to ankles & forearm to wrist for a week. any idea what this could be? heart murmur, split s2, taking toprol (metoprolol).

Atrial septal defect: ASD is frequently associated with a fixed split S2 (racepinephrine). This would explain the heart murmur which may present as an increased flow murmur across the pulmonic valve and the split S2 (racepinephrine)
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
