No: There a many ways to control acne. Hormonal acne is best treated with oral hormonal therapy like oral contraceptives or spironolactone. To this (or if patient dose not wish use of OC), we add the use of a topical retinoid like adapalene, tazarotene or tretinoin, +/- an oral antibiotic. Talk to your cosmetic surgeon or dermatologist specializing in acne treatment to review the best options for you.
