IUD ?'s: The hormone in some IUD's is progesterone, which will assist in pregnancy protection, but will not stop menstrual function (ovulation). Oral bcp's will stop all ovarian function, and should assist somewhat in controlling skin symptoms. Make sure to see your gyn about starting low dose oral bcp's. The IUD can be removed once on regular bcp's.
