A member asked:

When you develop an allergy after multiple exposure to a medication what are the chances it will be anaphylactic rather than a rash?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Less likely : Allergic reactions to medications can vary widely, but most reactions are not life threatening. A majority of allergic reactions involve a rash and itching. Anaphylaxis is more likely if a person knows that he/she is already allergic, and the medication is taken anyway.
