A member asked:

Can you develop severe food allergy in adulthood (those that can lead to anaphylaxis) if you have no allergies or only mild allergies? if yes, what are the chances of developing severe allergy in adulthood to something you have eaten/used before?

You can develop an allergy at any point in life, severe or otherwise. You can develop a severe allergy to something you have eaten/used before. If you are developing severe symptoms to something you are eating, you need to avoid that food. You can see an allergist to confirm the allergy. Good luck to you!
