Perio consult: See a Periodontist for a consultation to verify the cause and discuss possible treatment. This occasionally resolves on its own with gentle but thorough brushing and flossing. Not all minor gum recession requires treatment. The Periodontist can evaluate and counsel you.

See dental hygienist: Gum recession around one or two teeth may be a sign that you are not cleaning properly. Careful instruction in the right way to clean by a dental hygienist is important. See your dental hygienist or dentist for instructions.
