No problem: It sounds like your baby has an umbilical (belly button) hernia, but your baby's doctor can tell you for sure. 90+% of the time, these resolve on there own by about 4 years old; in fact, using tape, belly bands, or quarters on them seems to decrease the likelihood of it resolving. If it's still there at 4 years old, a surgeon can do a simple procedure to sew it shut.
