I had my appendix out almost 2yrs ago & i've got something hard sticking out of my belly button that hurts most the time what should i do?

Hernia likely: If you had a laparoscopic appendectomy (surgery via a small telescope), there will be a scar from an incision near the belly button. If this wound did not heal properly a hernia could have developed, this wound be a lump under the incision that is tender, may come and go, usually resolves when lying down, may enlarge in size. There could also be inflammation in the area which could cause a lump.
