Patience.: Many root canals are performed every day at every dental school in America. The procedure is carefully monitored by attending and qualified faculty, and the dental student performing the procedure has likely practiced the procedure many times. The only drawback, in my opinion, is time. Be patient, there are numerous checks required by faculty. End result should be great.

Advice: I don't think any dentist would disagree that the risks of root canal failure are higher under dental school circumstances. But, in any particular cases, your result may be excellent. Higher success rate and higher cost in a private practice setting.
