Chronic Hypertension: It means your Blood Pressure needs to be controlled and otherwise you are healthy It depends on how high your BP is.You can consult your doctor to see if you need medication besides life style modification depending on you weight,and other history and family history Chronic Hypertension needs to be treated and BP brought under control to prevent complications. Follow with your Doctor for treatment

Less risk: High BP(hypertension) is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease-stroke, heart attacks and disease, kidney impairment and atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries with risk of blockages in other areas of body). If you have other risk factors a well (diabetes, smoking, high cholesterol, family history, age) risks of these complications can go up. Each risk factor adds more and more risk.
