Implant: Chin implants are usually placed superficial to the bone and along the inferior border of the mandible. On the other hand, the implant is placed within the bone and usually does not extend to the inferior border. The simple answer, is: yes. A thorough clinical and radiographic exam must be performed by your oral surgeon. Bone resorption secondary to the chin implant must be taken into account.

Ct scan: Anytime you are having dental implants a Clinical and rdiographic evaluation is a necessity, if you have a chin implant, it should not interfere with the placement of an implant, in any case, a thorough evaluation is recommended.
