A member asked:

Can a mild weight gain cause mild shortness of breath?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Weight gain is a common cause of shortness of breath. Moreover, we often gain weight when we're more sedentary. Just a couple of weeks of reduced activity will impair our physical conditioning so that previously tolerated exercise now makes us winded until we work back into shape.
