You can call your: state psychological association or the American Psychological Association and see if they have a referral to a male psychologist. Gender can make a difference in comfort level at first but it's the eventual relationship that provides the most help. Peace and good health. Psychological help via Skype is possible though the guidelines are still evolving.

Depression: Well you have two options . Consider going out of town to find a male psychologist - ask your primary care doctor for a referral . OR give it a try and talk to a female psychologist and see what happens . The most important thing is to have a good rapport with your counselor . With feelings of depression and hopelessness , you might want to engage your PCP in your treatment plan ! Good luck !
