Consent: Try and ask a therapist for a consent form & bring it to your parents with an X where they sign.Just ask them to sign & ask for their insurance information.Then go back to the therapist with it.You might even try to write them a note that asks.It is important that you find a way to speak 2 your parents,briefly in order to get the help you want. There is no need to suffer needlessly. U Can do this.

Psychotherapy: If you are a minor, yes, parental consent is needed. That being said, consent means they sign a form to agree to therapy, and it does not mean they participate in it, although they have a legal right to know. Your therapist could explain to your parents that the less they interfere, the more therapy will progress.
