I'm 40 and 2 days pregnant and in excruciating pain but i haven't even dilated and my cervix is still soft. what should i do?

Most hospitals have a triage area where pregnant women can be evaluated for labor. You can expect some discomfort towards the end of pregnancy but excruciating pain needs to be evaluated. There are some worrisome things that can cause it.
