Probably: I'm assuming you had a laparoscopy (not a laparotomy, which involves a large incision in your abdomen). During laparoscopy, small instruments are placed through the muscles in your abdomen, into the abdominal cavity. You can imagine that these muscles would need some time to heal. Moving furnature before they are healed can make you sore. Less commonly, heavy lifting could break a stitch.
