Misaligned Jaw: Misaligned jaw may mean you have occlusion of how teeth meet with opening and closing of mouth. Factors relating to occlusion: Your temporomandibular (TM) joint and whether it is healthy and the health of the musculature around your jaw that works to open and close the lower jaw. Also important to consider is whether the muscles are in spasm or not
