Misaligned teeth can alter path of closure, affecting the last few millimeters of closure. Shifting of jaw to one side on opening, however, indicates that the cartilaginous disc in your jaw joint on the affected side is out of position. See both an Oral Surgeon and an Orthodontist for evaluation/imaging.
