Unusual: to have swelling of feet on 28 yr old female after routine appendectomy , call your doctor go for follow up visit and evaluation to make sure you don't have deep vein thrombosis.

Sometimes: During surgery you often receive a significant amount of intravenous fluids which can lead to some swelling. Normally the body will eliminate these fluids via the kidneys. You need to make sure there are no clots in the veins of your legs so I would recommend getting an ultrasound to rule this out. If it does not improve you should see your primary care physician for further testing.
