It is normal: Tooth extraction is a surgical procedure and is not completely risk-free. Pain, swelling, bad breath and infection following surgery is usually at its worst 24 – 48 hours after surgery. After that it should subside more and more every day and after 7 days stop. See your dentist or an oral surgeon for post-op appointment and treatment. Take care.

Raunchy breath: Do you have any other symptoms like bad taste, fever, pain, etc. If not, follow your post-op instructions to the letter and raunchy taste should ged a little less every day. If your breath does not improve, if your have any other symptoms, or if you're just not sure, call the General Dentist or specialist Oral Surgeon that treated you for a post-surgical evaluation.
