Esophagitis or other: A person with symptoms you describe may be suffering from reflux esophagitis. That is a condition in which acid from the stomach rolls up the food pipe to the mouth. Other possibilities include ulcer of stomach or cancer. You cannot diagnose this yourself; no doctor can diagnose it via internet. See a doctor.
