A member asked:

With flat feet and overpronation. does that mean ankles are hypermobile or lax?

No it does not: Flat feet or pes planus is generally independent of any ankle mechanics . Ankle injuries can arise by certain forces applied across the region but not likely related to mechanisms of over pronation or hyperpronation.

Not necessarily: Hypermobility in the ankles can be due to chronic injury (such as several ankle sprains) or from genetics. Overpronation can be due to lax ligaments for the same reason.
