Contacting Rabies: The way u can get rabies is thru contact of saliva or brain tissue from an infected (rabid) animal. This generally happens with bites by such animals. It is extremely rare for someone to get this infection through indirect contact by being in the water body momentarily contacted by such an animal. However, since Rabies is a deadly disease prudence is warranted and u should seek medical help ASAP.
