A wild monkey licked water tap . after 10 mins i used the same tap to wet a cloth to wipe my dry mouth with cuts . i dont know if monkey was rabid or not . will contract rabies virus ? how long does virus live on wet cloth ?

Do not know but usually needs to get into wound. I would ask about probability of local monkeys having rabies and local health department.

Contact with the saliva of an infected animal can infect you and it may take a couple of months before ypu are completely sure you are free from infection. How was the monkey behaving? if it was just normal non agressive behavior you are probably just fine. Next time rinse the tap well before taking water. I pray you are well!
