A member asked:

How can i tell my parents i have ocd?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Your Dr dx's: Go to him/her first. He/she will probably know how to share what you've told in a way that is more likely to produce a favorable outcome. Parents are likely to accept what they need to hear from a respected doctor rather than directly from you. And your self-diagnosis does need confirmation. OCD is often fairly easy to manage. Be pro-active and brave and your life will probably get really good.
