Talk with urologist: Depending on the degree of bother, drug therapy can be considered which might include two drugs that work dofferently, especially if the prostate measures greater than 50 cc by ultrasound. One relaxes involuntary muscle tone in the urinary tract and the other can physically shrink the prostate over a 4-6 month period. These meds may reduce (or delay) risk of more problems and improve emptying.
