Depends: Hi Depends on the injury and how large an area was involved, but I would expect that it could take weeks. Some injuries, like muscle tears and detachments may not heal fully on their own. Keep in mind also that there are other anatomical structures in the neck other than muscles that can be injured. If you're in severe pain, please see your local doctor. Hope this helps
