Yes, but...: There are a number of other medications in the same class of abilify, (aripiprazole) some of which are far less expensive and just as effective, e.g., Risperidone & quetiapine. Once a medication is off patent, generic versions before available that are always much cheaper. The problem is whether the benefits and side effects are comparable. Most companies have assistance programs that you may want to explore.

Possibly: There are many other medications in the same class as Abilify (aripiprazole) (mood-stabilizing anti-psychotics). Of those, Risperidone and quetiapine not have generic formulations, and Olanzapine may soon.
