Varies: I know this is not so good an answer but it really does vary depending on the actual duties, your training, union membership and type of facility (ie federal, municipal private hospital or compounding pharmacy. Many states require certification (national) and many who don't have technician laws still require national certification, Look into your own state's regulations Good Luck
