Depends: on your pain threshold, presence of infection, type of surgery and severity of problem. Some have no pain at all, other may have a mild to moderate discomfort in the absence of a complication.

Mild: Most people who have ingrown toenail procedure have very minimal post procedural pain. A NSAID or Tylenol (acetaminophen) typically will help with post procedural pain.
