Possible arrhythmia: It could be the sign of an abnormal heart rhythm. I would suggest that you talk with your physician about this and consider wearing a continuous heart monitor for a day or two.

Depends: We're not "resting" during sleep. You may be quite active and have dreams or nightmares that you don't remember but are responsible. If your HR is comes right down when you awake, it's normal. But if it remains elevated for >5 minutes, it may be abnormal and should be investigated.
