A member asked:

What are the possible side effects or risks associated with having a hysterectomy at the age of 27?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Surgical vs psycholo: Obviously there is risk of surgical complications such as bleeding/blood clot, infections etc..From the surgery, but there is a pyschological component to this..Most likely the ovaries will be left alone, so hormone-wise u will be ok, but u will not be able to have(any more) children. This is probably the biggest concern espcially if u have not had children. Consult your doc..Good luck.
