Ovulation bleeding: Bleeding around mid cycle could be caused be a slight drop in estrogen levels that naturally happens, withdrawing the estrogen support the inner lining needs and causing bleeding - typically this is more of a spotting than bleeding. Ovulation test can be thrown off by an existing pregnancy. Heavy bleeding could indicate a, potentially early, miscarriage. A pregnancy test would tell.
