What restorations can you have when most of your enamel on most of your top teeth is gone?

Composite: Composite is the least expensive material. Gold is ideal but not particularly attractive. All-ceramic crowns are costly but last the longest. Perhaps start with composite and 1-2 all-ceramic crowns, then replace the composite with crowns as you are able. Gum inflammation should be controlled first!

Restorations: Tooth colored composite bonding, laminates and crowns. Each has specific indications as well as aesthetics, durability, retention and cost. Make sure you know what caused this in the first place. All restorations can wear as well.

See your dentist: Enamel serves to keep the dentin safe from daily use like chewing, biting, crunching and grinding. When enamel damaged, the tooth is more susceptible to cavities. There are variety of options to fix lost enamel to protect dentine: for small erosion bonding is used. If the enamel loss is significant, full crown maybe a solution. See your dentist for evaluation, x-rays and treatment.
