More testing needed: You are prob a pre-diabetic or have a metabolic syndrome. You need further testing to confirm. Ask your doctor for a Hemoglobin A1C test. It gives you the ave blood glucose over the last 3 months. Normal is <5.7, borderline is 5.7-6.4, and 6.5 or higher is diabetes. Start checking your fingersticks intermittently. Some fasting and some 2 hrs after a meal. AM goal is <100, after meal is <180
