Leave it open: Why the bandaid? Allergy to tape and adhesive is common. Allergy to bacitracin, neomycin, neosporin, triple antibiotic is very common. It is 1 or more of these. Leave it open, wash, lubricate with vaseline (Aquaphor). Throw away the antibiotic ointment or antibiotic bandaid so no one will use again. Use Hydrocortisone cream to reduce itch and accelerate resolution of allergic dermatitis.
