Not likely fluorosis: Mild fluorosis is characterized by white lines, streaks or spots. Fluorosis is a cosmetic condition, not a disease. Often, it is so mild that only a dental professional can detect it. No treatment is recommended in mild to moderate cases.

"Stains": If the white spots are stains on the surface of the teeth, your Hygienist can remove them and show you how to prevent their return. If they are Scars, areas of Decalcification (where calcium has been etched out of the enamel) restorations (fillings) may be necessary.
