I have a huge cold sore that is itchy and spreading. i heard "lemon balm cream" works. what is that and what brand should i be looking for?

See a dermatologist: First determine if it is herpes. If it is, none of the topicals do enough to warrant much discussion. Whether lemon balm or expensive prescription, once you get a sore it heals about the same whatever you put on it. The effective remedy is to have on hand valacyclovir (or acyclovir) to take 2 Gram (2x1G) at very first tingling (prodrome). This is safe, no side effects, aborts the attack or produce
