Cream not best: The effectiveness of Clotrimazole for thrush depends on adequate contact time between the Clotrimazole and the tissue in the mouth. For this reason a slowly dissolving Clotrimazole troche is usually prescribed instead of a cream. If your current treatment isn't effective, you might consider switching to an antifungal pill such as fluconzole. Best to see your doc and express your concerns.
