About 1 week: Acute sinusitis can be cured in about 1 week with augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate). Chronic sinusitis (sinus infections that hang around for about 2 months) can take 3-4 weeks of an antibiotic like augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate).

Depends: Sinus infections should be treated in several ways in addition to using antibiotics, one of the prime considerations being establishment of drainage. The other factor is whether the bacteria producing the sinusitis is sensitive to augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate). If drainage is adequate it should respond within 3 to 4 days, but cure may take longer.
