A member asked:

Help! is it possible to have a c-section even if nothing is wrong with your baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: There is controversy about this question. Some Ob/Gyns will perform elective c/sections without an indication (reason) other than your wishes. Others won't. Some insurance companies won't pay for a c/section without a medical reason and others will. If you really want a c/section it is fairly easy to find a doc that will do it for you if you search for one.
