Not enough info: Precipitous lower abdominal swelling could be caused by herniation of the abdominal wall, or if lower , it may termed an inguinal hernia. Both are cause for you to be checked by your md, as they can cause strangulation and "death" of part of your GI tract. Be safe, consult an md. Good luck!
